AmSkills Bootcamp and Internship with Pasco County Utilities
Bootcamp: June 9-13, 2025
Internship: June 16-July 25, 2025
Pasco County students age 16+ are eligible to participate in the AmSkills/Pasco County Utilities Summer Internship Program. Students must register in advance and participate in a one-week Bootcamp, led by AmSkills Technical Instructors. Training includes safety, hands-on projects, Florida Ready to Work (FRW) online training and intern interview preparations. On the final day of the Bootcamp, Pasco County Utilities will interview and select all candidates to participate in the 6-week paid internship ($13hr).
Advanced Manufacturing Academy – Anclote High School
IGNITE: Mastering Manufacturing is an innovative high school curriculum that equips students with the mastery of manufacturing technologies, processes, and systems to prepare them for careers in the 21st-century production environment and/or for the continuation of their education. Students will go through stimulating eLearning lessons, computer simulations, design projects, and hands-on workstations using Industry 4.0 technologies.
Snap On Certification (NC3)
The Hand Tool Identification, Safety and Usage Certification is designed to introduce tech students to hand tools used in today’s critical industries. The curriculum consists of the identification, safety, and usage of common hand tools. Tech students receive the TOOLS FOR LIFE they need for safe and successful careers in automotive, aviation, manufacturing, power generation and building maintenance.

Year 1 – Snap On Certification (NC3)
The Hand Tool Identification, Safety and Usage Certification is designed to introduce tech students to hand tools used in today’s critical industries. The curriculum consists of the identification, safety, and usage of common hand tools. Tech students receive the TOOLS FOR LIFE they need for safe and successful careers in automotive, aviation, manufacturing, power generation and building maintenance.
The Electricity Introduction, Measurement, and Circuits Certification enables graduates to demonstrate a solid understanding of the fundamentals of electricity as it pertains to direct current (DC) circuits.
Year 2 – SACA Certification
This High School Pre-Apprenticeship Program trains students in practical, real world, employable skills in the Advanced Manufacturing industries. Students will have the opportunity to earn the SACA C101 Industry 4.0 associate level 1 in Basic Operations.
“Basic Operations certification is an introductory credential that prepares individuals to succeed in modern production environments that use Industry 4.0 controls, automation, and processes. This certification is appropriate for individuals working in any occupation in advanced manufacturing. This course covers a wide range of advanced manufacturing topics, including safety, basic hand tools, measurement, print reading, and mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and automation fundamentals.” SACA
