Officials Visit Pasco AMskills Training Center: Featured in Pasco Tribune!

May 31, 2015-AMskills is getting the attention of the media and state and local officials once again. The Pasco County AMskills Training Center hosted a tourfor the important guests and the media on May 31. The AMskills German-style apprenticeship program is the first of its kind in the state of Florida. The story is featured, with photos, in the Pasco Tribune.

Among the guests at the Pasco County training center were Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam. “Florida’s economy has been built on the pillars of construction, agriculture and tourism,” Putnam said. “We need a broader manufacturing base, and this program will give students in these three counties the opportunity to come out of high school with skills and experience to get a high-paying job.” Other officials touring the facility included state Sen. Wilton Simpson, Commissioner Kathryn Starkey and Juergen Borsch, Germany’s consul general for Florida and Puerto Rico.
