Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry

Manufacturers are struggling to find qualified and trained employees while young adults, veterans and others are unable to secure well paying jobs due to lack of work experience. AmSkills solves this problem by "Bridging the Gap Between Education & Industry."

AmSkills is a Tampa Bay Regional initiative designed to prepare high school students, adults and veterans for a career in advanced manufacturing. This is an industry driven pre-apprenticeship and apprentice training program offering "hands-on" technical skills training for our Apprentice Candidates. Upon successful completion, candidates are introduced to local manufacturers for semi-skilled or skilled Apprenticeship opportunities.

Youth Apprenticeship

15-17 Years

Youth Apprenticeship15-17 Years

AmSkills Youth Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed for Juniors & Seniors in High School to help them determine which manufacturing career is the best fit for them. AmSkills training centers are designed to replicate real-world environment including time clock tracking, hands-on skills training and job preparation coaching. Upon successful completion, Apprentice Candidates may be provided opportunities for paid Semi-Skilled or Skilled jobs.

Adult & Veterans can "Launch" a new career in Manufacturing by first taking part in the "AmSkills Manufacturing Career Launch Program", completing 80% hands-on projects in 3-Career Tracks such as CNC Machining, Mechatronics or Industrial Maintenance. These are the top positions needed in the Tampa Bay area and AmSkills not only prepares you for your career, but we also land you the job with the company that is the best fit for you.

Manufacturers no longer have to worry if their new hire will show up to work or be able to work as a team player. AmSkills provides both semi-skilled and skilled Apprentice Candidates whom have been vetted, trained and evaluated. Candidates must successfully complete a minimum of 400 hours before they are recommended to a manufacturer. In addition, AmSkills provides a "Mentor Training" program for your employees; all in an effort to help the your company and the Apprentice succeed long-term.
